This former 19th century stable has been completely renovated by the interior designer Olivier Roux and turned into a private residence. Roux has created a bright, comfortable atmosphere that changes according to the time of day and the activities carried out while ease-of-use is guaranteed for all the systems installed.

The choice of luminaires has resulted in a pleasant, functional lighting design that facilitates everyday use of the kitchen, highlights the corridors and illuminates the garage. The renovation has opened up the structure’s façade, allowing the garage and laundry rooms to be located on the street side with the living areas at the back in a quieter position. This has also freed the magnificent, paved courtyard from parked cars.
During the day, the house is full of natural light that floods in through the skylight in the kitchen and from the large, curved windows that are made of powder-coated steel and glazed with a thermal break.

At night, lighting is provided by three-cell Laser Blade XS luminaires recessed in all the false ceilings. Laser Blade luminaires also provide general and diffuse lighting that is enhanced in the kitchen by Palco LV projectors mounted on the steel profiles in the glass roof.
In the lounge and dining room, Laser Blade XS and Wall Washer luminaires combine with recessed, dimmable Underscore light lines to create uniform general lighting. The interior of the garage is lit by surface-mounted Plan Access luminaires.

The entrance opens onto a paved courtyard with ground-based planters that are highlighted at night by floodlights. The courtyard façades have also been restored with brick cladding on which iPro up/down floodlights create light cones and elegant graphic lighting.
One of the courtyard walls is decorated with a stable door, a reminder of the site's historical origins, that is enhanced by Walky bollards and recessed Light Up luminaires. And thanks to carefully organised outdoor lighting distribution that balances the architectural elements of the façades with the vegetation, the paved courtyard is now an ideal location for relaxing and outdoor entertainment.
