From February 20, the spectacular View of the Basin of San Marco by Giovanni Biasin shines under a new light at Palazzo Roverella in Rovigo, thanks to an innovative lighting intervention promoted by Fondazione Cariparo and designed by architect Antonio Stevan with iGuzzini fixtures. The inauguration will be accompanied by a dedicated press conference.
To enhance this 22-meter-long and 1.75-meter-high tempera on paper, we provided our latest and most discreet track system—the smallest in the world, with an opening of just 3.6 mm: Filorail.
Filorail adapts to the curvature of the display, ensuring uniform illumination. The LED projectors, free of UV and IR emissions, guarantee maximum respect for the artwork’s conservation, with smart control via Bluetooth.
The presentation took place in the presence of the mayor, Valeria Cittadin, the president of the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Padova e Rovigo, Gilberto Muraro, the president of the Accademia dei Concordi, Pier Luigi Bagatin, the Italy Director of iGuzzini Illuminazione, Giulio Scabin, and the Architect Antonio Stevan.
"Being a technical partner in this project," says Giulio Scabin "means contributing to giving the city back an extraordinary work of art. Following the interventions at the Tempio della Rotonda and Piazza Masslo, this new lighting marks the completion of a virtuous cycle for Rovigo, demonstrating the impact of light in enhancing cultural heritage."
