Blade R wins the German Design Award 2022

Blade R, the iGuzzini recessed luminaire that develops the concept of architectural integration has received the ‘Winner’ prize in the 2022 German Design Awards. This competition is the German Design Council’s most important design contest and one of the most prestigious accolades on the international scene that has been identifying and rewarding design trends in all sectors since 2012. In a unique selection process, the jury - made up of industry, academic, design, architecture and media experts - selected Blade R as the winner of the Excellent Product Design - Lighting category and applauded its exceptional design.

Blade R, in fact, is a compact and miniaturised ring of light that improves people’s well-being through the smart activation of safety, entertainment, comfort and sustainability services thanks to the integration of smart tools that extend the product’s functionality beyond light.
